"When Ilona Kulíkova addressed me to participate with my pictures in this exhibition which is, at the same time, an exhibition of ceramics created by clients of the Gaudium Day Care Center, I did not hesitate for a single moment. It is a great joy and honor for me to share an exhibition with artists who perceive the world around them in an amazing way and are able to depict it in such a unique way. When I saw their products for the first time, I was enchanted and impressed. What can be more beautiful than to see the world with guileless eyes and a pure heart? If only we were capable of that.“
Jan Budař
Olomouc will welcome a favorite and important personality of the Czech cultural scene - JAN BUDAŘ - an original creator who works in different genres, fields and spheres of entertainment. He showed his art as an actor in movies like Nuda v Brně, Vratné lahve, Václav or Horem pádem. He posseses four statuettes of Česky lev (2003 - twice, as an actor and a screenwriter, 2004, 2007). He has acted in a number of Czech and Moravian theaters – National Theater Brno, Husa na provázku, Karlovy Vary City Theater, National Theater, Na zábradlí or Klicperovo divadlo in Hradec Králové.
Apart from that, his name is under many articles in the Instinkt magazine.
"Madman"
"If somebody thinks he is a madman, people around him often kindly try to talk him out of that.
Then those "madmen" do not know where the truth is.
Should they trust themselves or other people?
Are they "madmen" or not?
Then, there are people, about whom everybody says they are madmen. And nobody tries to talk them out of that.
Mostly, not even madmen themselves, because they have altogether different definitions of the reality and truth than we do – common "madmen".
And somewhere in between, there is everything else.
Our lives are full of surprises. Surprises filled with hope. Hope hidden in pain. Pain yearning for love.
Love in the smiles of madmen.
We all are one light.“

Here are our roots.
(Blessed John Paul II, 22nd April 1990, Velehrad)
They wanted to become part of those nations and to share their destiny in everything. Here, in this place, at Velehrad, in Moravia, we can feel the historical legacy of the kingdom in a peculiar way – we can feel even those who became its keepers and guardians.
(Blessed John Paul II)
For us, people of the present age, their apostolate contains even the elocution of the ecumenical appeal, i.e. to build unity again, in a peaceful reconciliation, which later after their deaths was heavily damaged, and in the first place the unity between the East and the West.
(Blessed John Paul II)
Their work is also a very important contribution to the growth of the common Christian roots of Europe, which by their firmness and viability create one of the main contact points, which must be respected by every serious attempt at reunification of our continent in a new and topical way.
(Blessed John Paul II)
The story of both brothers, Cyril and Methodius, is a distinct example of unity.
Saints Cyril and Methodius contributed, to a great extent, to the building of Europe, not only regarding its Christian religious community but also concerning its civil and cultural unity.
(Blessed John Paul II)
