According to Pellegrini, the exhibition in the premises of Convitto Salesiano San Luigi at Via Don Bosco 48 will be opened till 16th February 2013. In May, it will move to the Slovenian Koper. "On Thursday, during the opening ceremony we want to discuss, together with the Czech consul in Milan, the possibility of welcoming the exhibition also in the Czech Republic," added the director of the center.
Gorizia (Italy): At the exhibition, the original Italian-Slovenian title of which is "L’Ereditŕ di Cirillo e Metodio. Un progetto per l’Europa – Dediščina Cirila in Metoda. Načrt za Evropo", there will be, apart from other things, also two large mosaics representing the patrons of Europe - Saint Benedict and Saints Cyril and Methodius. "After the exhibition, these mosaics will be deposited in the monument at the Italian-Slovenian border as a remembrance of the unity of Europe and a symbol of the 'two lungs', about which Pope John Paul II spoke," explained Sergio Pellegrini, one of the organizers of the exhibition and, at the same time, the president of the association called Centro Studium in Gorizia.
It was Centro Studium that initiated the installation of the Cyrillo-Methodian exhibition. Since 1964, this association of students, teachers and other persons interested has been aiming at organization of cultural and educational activities in Gorizia, an Italian town at the border with Slovenia.
Besides being part of the celebrations of this year's Cyrillo-Methodian anniversary, which is commemorated not only in the Czech Republic but also by other European countries, the exhibition is, at the same time, part of the celebrations of 1700 years that have passed since the publication of the Edict of Milan, which allowed Christianity to spread in the Roman Empire.
However, it is also the date of the exhibition opening which is of interest, the feast of Saint Don Bosco on 31st January. It was in Gorizia where, more than one hundred years ago, a formation house of the Salesians of Don Bosco was in operation, and between 1901and 1910 also the first Czech Salesian, P. Ignác Stuchlý, worked there. These days, he is a candidate for beatification in the Archdiocese of Olomouc.

Here are our roots.
(Blessed John Paul II, 22nd April 1990, Velehrad)
They wanted to become part of those nations and to share their destiny in everything. Here, in this place, at Velehrad, in Moravia, we can feel the historical legacy of the kingdom in a peculiar way – we can feel even those who became its keepers and guardians.
(Blessed John Paul II)
For us, people of the present age, their apostolate contains even the elocution of the ecumenical appeal, i.e. to build unity again, in a peaceful reconciliation, which later after their deaths was heavily damaged, and in the first place the unity between the East and the West.
(Blessed John Paul II)
Their work is also a very important contribution to the growth of the common Christian roots of Europe, which by their firmness and viability create one of the main contact points, which must be respected by every serious attempt at reunification of our continent in a new and topical way.
(Blessed John Paul II)
The story of both brothers, Cyril and Methodius, is a distinct example of unity.
Saints Cyril and Methodius contributed, to a great extent, to the building of Europe, not only regarding its Christian religious community but also concerning its civil and cultural unity.
(Blessed John Paul II)
